The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is in the planning phase of a project to improve safety for bicycle riders and pedestrians on Fulton Street. Segments of Fulton are located on San Francisco’s High Injury Network, according to the SFMTA website.
My young, super-smart wife recently was riding the N-Judah light rail streetcar. She stepped off at 31st Avenue and Judah Street … off one of those new Siemens LRV 4-class light rail vehicles, directly to her pootentially immediate death. When she came home she said “You have got to save us.”
Starting Thursday, August 15, traffic pattern on lower Great Highway between Ulloa and Santiago streets will be changed. Northbound travel lane on lower Great Highway will be rerouted to 48th Avenue for two blocks between Ulloa and Santiago streets. Southbound travel lane will continue on lower Great Highway as usual. This will be in effect until project completion in 2022.
