On July 15, at the Board of Supervisors Rules Committee meeting, Supervisor Gordon Mar held a hearing on the Sunlight on Dark Money initiative to address issues of political corruption and financial disclosures in San Francisco politics.
The second annual One Richmond Community Party took place on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Argonne Elementary School at 18th Avenue and Cabrillo Street.
Creation of this small park at 420 Seventh Ave. in the Richmond District was before the era of the official mini-park, a federally subsidized program initiated in San Francisco in 1968, and creating it was a complicated business as it was a public-private project, a virtually unknown notion at the time but common today.

On June 20, the San Francisco Planning Commission gave approval to a new use for the Alexandria Theater on Geary Boulevard. The building, which was a movie theater for more than 80 years, will feature two swimming pools and meeting space.
