Monday, October 21 to Friday, November 8: Construction crew are performing sewer main replacement work on the northside of Taraval Street between 46th and 43rd avenues.
There were many different opinions held by the community, though most were in opposition. It was hoped that this meeting would find an alternate staging area for construction at the large lot cornering Sloat and Lake Merced boulevards.

Starting Thursday, August 15, traffic pattern on lower Great Highway between Ulloa and Santiago streets will be changed. Northbound travel lane on lower Great Highway will be rerouted to 48th Avenue for two blocks between Ulloa and Santiago streets. Southbound travel lane will continue on lower Great Highway as usual. This will be in effect until project completion in 2022.
The votes have been tallied and by more than 50% of the votes, option B- retain more parking, is the winning vote.
Outer Taraval merchants between 46thand 47th avenues sent a letter to San Francisco Mayor London Breed and San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Board members, requesting that the SFMTA provide alternative solutions to staging, provide a traffic study, provide more information about the impact of construction on local businesses and a commitment from SFMTA To receive regular updates during construction.
Starting August 12 and continuing for approximately two weeks, the subway between Embarcadero and West Portal will close early at 9:30 p.m. When the subway closes early, buses will run above ground to connect all stops, beginning at 9:30 p.m. through the normal end of train service at 1 a.m.

Starting this month, construction is going to begin on Taraval Street as SFMTA/Muni begins a two- to three-year construction project ripping up Taraval Street to install new sewer lines, and then repaving Taraval Street, reinstalling the overhead lines and tracks, building the boarding islands, etc.
