For the last 30 years, Lenox has worked on various projects, including restoring windows
in private homes and larger projects, such as renovating windows at St. John’s
Presbyterian Church and the library windows at the University of San Francisco.

Officials at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (Muni) are taking
another look at a plan to put speed humps and traffic diversions along Eighth Avenue, between Fulton and Lake streets.
An off-leash dog walking area in Golden Gate Park, west of Spreckels Lake and near the
intersection of Fulton Street and 40th Avenue, is slated for a $2 million makeover
sometime this year.
Single-family home prices in the Richmond District rose for the sixth year in a row, with
median prices appreciating by 2.8 percent in 2017, a 100 percent increase from the
market low in 2011.
A 13-building development planned at the University of California’s Laurel Heights
campus, a 10-acre site located at 3333 California St., has already drawn
community opposition, even as it is being reviewed by the SF Planning Department.
Going forward, all evidence points to more of what we’ve seen during the several years
since the passage of the 2014 bond: the SFPUC careening back and forth from one
implausible “band aid” scheme to another while avoiding an actual expansion of the
amazingly efficient high-pressure hydrant system.
The Ortega Branch Library will host a 10-week-long introductory session for students in
the first through third grades who want to learn Mandarin.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee was an inspiration, not only for the Chinese-American
community but for the community at large.
My prediction for 2018 is that we will have a decent real estate market but not as strong
as the last five years. It will continue to be a seller’s market with a shortage of good
inventory and a leveling out in prices.
