We have had some terrible accidents throughout the City as of late so expect to see stepped-up enforcement not only in the Sunset but citywide.

Hello everyone. I am the new captain here at Taraval Station, Nick Rainsford. Although “new” to Taraval I have more than 25 years of experience with the SFPD.
December is here and it is one of the busiest shopping times of the year. We recommend that you stay alert when using electronic devices; limit your distractions and be aware of your surroundings.
I want to thank everyone who attended our SF Police Commission presentation at St. Ignatius College Preparatory on Oct. 17. We had a great number of attendees, including a class of criminal justice students.
Our next community meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m., at the Taraval Police Station, located at 2345 24th Ave. Parking is limited so please try to carpool or get a ride. We would love to have you attend and express any concerns that you may have.

On Aug. 7, National Night Out will be taking place throughout the country and each police district will have a venue. It is an annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer.
