As part of his rare live performance at Outside Lands this summer, Paul Simon announced that he will donate the net proceeds from his artist fee to environmental philanthropic organizations he believes in.
The last obstacle to extending the contract between the Outside Lands music festival and the City’s Recreation and Park Department was removed when the SF Board of Supervisors rejected an appeal to turn down the deal.
This is the meeting date and time for the FULL San Francisco Board of Supervisors, regarding the final approval for Outside Lands 10-year contract, with no conditional restraint on their level of sound, except “what they think is appropriate.”
In a unanimous vote on January 17, the commission sent the deal to the SF Board of Supervisors for final approval. The City’s contract with the Outside Lands Art and Music Festival expires in 2021.
