Below: What was once a huge pile of sand is now a multi-million-dollar collection of homes and apartments. The photo at right was taken on March 20 from the same location as the above picture – the east-side sidewalk on 20th Avenue between Geary Boulevard and Clement Street, looking north. According to data published in longtime Richmond Review columnist John Lee’s chart this month, the average sales price of five properties sold in the Richmond District last month was $2.95 million.
