‘Then and Now’: Great Highway at Cabrillo Street

Below: Jeff Wong and Priscilla Wong (friends who happen to share the same last name) agreed to reenact the scene above more than 70 years later. They used to live in the Richmond and were visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. They live in the Union Square area of New York City. Playland at the Beach was demolished in 1972 and eventually replaced with condos. Photo by Michael Durand.
