The Lincoln Mustangs dominated in the 44-7 victory over the Balboa Buccaneers in the 48th Turkey Day Game on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022. The victory at Kezar Stadium was Lincoln’s third San Francisco Section title in four years and its 11th overall. This was the ninth title under Lincoln coach Phil Ferrigno, who is now the winningest championship coach in San Francisco Section history.

Kezar Stadium in San Francisco’s Sunset District was the site of the 2022 High School Football City Championship game between the Lincoln Mustangs and the Balboa Buccaneers, last year’s state champions.
Balboa High School (in white) and Lincoln High School met for the CIF San Francisco Section Championship, the annual Turkey Day game, on Nov. 24, 2022 at Kezar Stadium. The Lincoln Mustangs won 44-7.
