SENIOR EMPLOYMENT

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a federally funded employment training program for unemployed, low-income eligible adults, 55 years of age or older, who reside in San Francisco. Felton Institute operates the program and is currently enrolling trainees who are placed in a part-time, 12-hours-per week community service training positions in non-profit or government agencies, while getting paid a minimum wage income ongoing. They are required to take full advantage of courses, workshops, resources and to obtain specialized certificates, if applicable, to enhance their skillsets and knowledge.  The trainees will be able to learn the skills needed and obtain ongoing support from our program, with the goal of transitioning into unsubsidized employment.  Enrollment is considered a temporary position. Our goal is to assist trainees in finding employment outside of our training program.
