Police Blotter: Richmond District

Discharging Firearm at Unoccupied Building: 500 Block of 41st Avenue, Oct. 25, 2 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a shots-fired incident. The officers observed damage to one residential building – likely caused by a firearm – and found shell casings. 

A preliminary investigation revealed the building was not occupied at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

The suspect(s) are outstanding.

Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Outstanding Warrant: Stanyan Street and Geary Boulevard, Nov. 1, 2:45 a.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle that had collided with a parked vehicle. The officers located the driver standing on the sidewalk a short distance away from the vehicle. 

A records check determined the vehicle was stolen from San Francisco on Oct. 31. It was also determined that the driver had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. 

Officers arrested the suspect and later booked him at County Jail.

Robbery with Force: 4300 Block of California Street, Nov. 1, 2:50 p.m.

Officers responded to a robbery. 

The victim was outside his house when an unknown suspect approached the victim from behind. The suspect put his hand in the victim’s pocket and grabbed the victim’s wallet. 

The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The victim was unharmed.

Robbery with a Gun: 1000 Block of Great Highway, Nov. 6, 6:15 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a gun. 

The victims were dining when they saw their vehicle being broken into. When they confronted the suspect, another suspect got out of a waiting vehicle and pointed a gun at the victims. 

The suspects then fled the area in a vehicle.

Robbery with Force: 2900 Block of California Street, Nov. 11, 6:25 p.m. 

Officers responded to a battery in progress. 

The victim stated to officers that he had been robbed while waiting for the bus. 

The victim said he was punched multiple times. The suspect attempted to steal the victim’s cell phone, but ultimately ended up with the victim’s backpack.

Robbery with Force: 600 Block of 32nd Avenue, Nov. 11, 2:46 p.m.

At approximately 11 a.m., a juvenile victim was approached by two suspects attempting to start a fight. The victim attempted to walk away, but the suspects grabbed both his arms and was pulled down a flight of stairs. 

The victim received punches to his head and face. The suspects attempted to take the victim’s necklace and shoes. Security intervened and the suspects fled the area with only the victim’s shoes. 

The victim called an adult family member who responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital with minor injuries. 

Robbery with Other Weapon: 3400 Block of California Street, Nov. 15, 11:40 a.m. 

An elderly victim was at an ATM when a suspect walked up from behind and said, “Give me the money.” 

The suspect was holding a large glass water bottle. With his hands up, the victim backed away from the suspect. The suspect then pushed the victim into a parked SUV with one hand and raised the other hand holding the water bottle above his head. The suspect hit the victim on the head with the glass bottle, causing the bottle to shatter. 

The suspect fled on foot. The victim was transported to a hospital.

Aggravated Assault with Other Weapon: 5300 Block of Geary Boulevard, Nov. 20, 2:55 p.m. 

Officers responded to a report of an aggravated assault. 

The victim was asked multiple times to move his belonging and not sit in front of the store. The victim refused. After a heated exchange, the victim spat in the suspect’s face. 

The suspect then walked into the store, and came out with a golf club, The suspect asked the victim again to move. When the victim pushed the suspect, the suspect struck the victim with the golf club. Mutual combat occurred before the suspect walked back into the store. The victim was transported to a hospital. 

The suspect was arrested and booked at County Jail.
