Though it was a modest gathering at City Hall on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 7, people triumphantly celebrated President-Elect Joe Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump. Celebrations took place across the country, mostly in cities, which typically vote Democratic. It’s difficult to sum up all the emotions people have felt over the last few days with the millions of ballots that remained to be counted and weigh that against the last four years, so here are seven images that at least captures a glimpse of post election pay-off.
