Police Blotter — Richmond Review

Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Marijuana, Mushrooms and Brass Knuckles, and Drugs for Sale: Park Presidio Bypass and Crossover Drive, Feb. 20, 2:07 a.m.

Officers found a stationary vehicle whose driver was asleep with the car shifted to drive. 

After several attempts, the officers woke the driver, had him place the car in park and turn off the vehicle.

The driver showed signs of intoxication and was arrested after performing field sobriety tests.

After searching the vehicle, officers found large amounts of suspected marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, a scale and a glass pipe.

The suspect was arrested and booked at County Jail.

Shoplifting and Assault: 3600 Block of Geary Boulevard, Feb. 26, 12:40 p.m.

A suspect entered the store and placed several items in his backpack. After being confronted by an employee, the suspect placed more items in his backpack and headed for the exit.

When the employee attempted to stop the suspect from leaving with the stolen items, the suspect hit her in the head with the backpack and fled the store.

The suspect is still at large.

Outstanding Warrant for Felony Robbery: 500 Block of 26th Avenue, Feb. 27, 12:20 p.m.

A fire truck collided with a vehicle parked illegally in a red zone outside of the fire station.

After several minutes, the owner of the vehicle returned to the scene.

A records check revealed that the owner had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest for robbery.

The suspect was arrested and booked at County Jail.

Outstanding Shoplifting Warrants: 5200 Block of Geary Boulevard, March 5, 7:32 p.m.

The suspect filled her rolling cart with items in a drug store and then left without paying.

Officers arrived and found the suspect across the street.

The store declined to press charges, and only asked for the items to be returned. 

A records check revealed that the suspect had three outstanding warrants from other cities for shoplifting.

Upon her arrest officers discovered a glass pipe with burnt residue consistent with drug use on her person.

The suspect was arrested and booked at County Jail.

Auto Burglary and Robbery: 100 Block of Seal Rock Drive, March 7, 12:29 p.m.

The victim briefly left his car to take photographs.

The victim saw a suspect exit another vehicle, reach into the victim’s vehicle to steal a bag off of the passenger seat.

The victim ran after the suspect and yelled, “What are you doing?” A second suspect confronted the victim and said, “Give me your money!”

The second suspect wrestled the camera from the victim’s hands.

All of the suspects fled in the suspects’ vehicle and are still at large.

Robbery with Force:  600 Block of 38th Avenue, March 21, 6:32 p.m.

A suspect followed a victim after exiting the bus and asked her for drugs. The victim stated she did not have any and asked the suspect to leave her alone. 

The suspect then became agitated and the victim attempted to run away. The suspect followed the victim, grabbed her phone and backpack, and a struggle ensued.

Passersby separated the two and detained the suspect until police arrived.

The suspect was arrested and booked at County Jail.
