Join us to Discuss the Future of UCSF Parnassus Heights

Please join us for UCSF’s upcoming public meeting to discuss the future of UCSF Parnassus Heights. You may have already heard about UCSF’s plans for future development at Parnassus and this is an opportunity to share your perspective on the plan’s implementation. You can learn more about UCSF’s vision for the 30-year renovation and our current planning and community process at tiny.ucsf.edu/ParnassusPlan.

We are seeking input from community members to help guide priorities and decisions about how the proposed Comprehensive Parnassus Heights Plan (CPHP) is implemented over the next 30 years. This will include working with our Advisory Committee comprised of community stakeholders to determine the scope, programming and financial feasibility of near-term projects.

The topic of the March meeting includes transportation and mobility.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Millberry Union, 500 Parnassus Avenue, starting at 6:30 p.m.  Activities for children available upon request.

Project Background

With community input, UCSF developed the Comprehensive Parnassus Heights Plan (CPHP), a long-term vision that outlines organizing concepts and smart urban planning principles for reshaping the campus over the next several decades. The CPHP will guide our effort to build a hospital and campus environment that enables UCSF to continue advancing world-class research, train the next generation of health care professionals, and serve the complex health care needs of an aging population. During the course of our work, we will implement innovative architectural and urban design solutions to create a more open, accessible and welcoming campus that addresses the common challenges facing all cities. A fundamental part of this effort includes a number of community investment opportunities such as on-campus housing, improved transportation solutions and other community enrichment programs.

In short, the CPHP will help us modernize the Parnassus Heights campus so that we may continue fulfilling our public health and education mission for the next 100 years while delivering enhancements to improve the neighborhood. Please visit the CPHP website to learn more about this project and planning process: https://www.ucsf.edu/cphp.
