Inner Sunset Community Connectors – CANCELLED
The Inner Sunset Community Connectors program meets for exercise every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, 1:30-2:30, in the Community Hall at St. Anne of the Sunset, entrance on Funston between Irving and Judah. The second hour, 2:30-3:30 on Mondays and Thursday is devoted to conversation and classes.
On Thursday, March 12, Estelle Schneider, a physical therapist and holistic health educator, will lead an interactive session on lifestyle choices that can support your aging brain: nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep social engagement, ongoing learning, and managing your chronic illness.
Estelle will return a week later, March 19, to lead a discussion on fall prevention. As we age, changes in balance, vision, muscle strength, posture, and flexibility put us at risk for falls. This is your opportunity to learn simple measures and exercise to reduce your fall risk.

On the Web: The Unlonely Project
Loneliness is as lethal as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Lonely people are 50% more likely to die prematurely and to suffer from heart disease and other chronic health conditions. Friends, family and connections are the best cure for reducing loneliness.
The Unlonely Project, a project of The Foundation for Art & Healing, uses creative arts to engage and connect people.
Every week, the Unlonely Project sends subscribers a film to view at home and a link to share their thoughts about the film and engage with other subscribers. Yours, the Valentine week’s film, a film actress and beauty star, now retired and in her old age, flirts with finding romance when she creates an online dating profile.
The film writer Maggie Brennan is an animator, cartoonist and musician living in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up on Long Island, NY and graduated from Oberlin College. Her animations have screened at a number of festivals including Maryland Film Festival, NoBudge Live, and GIPHY Film Fest. Her comics have been published by The New Yorker, The Fader, Inverse, and more.
Membership in the Unlonely Project and the films are free. Click on www.artandhealing.orgfor information on the project and to sign up for the films.
