Please support a recently formed group of neighbors called San Franciscans for Local Control, not Telecom (SFLC) on Dec. 16 as they urge the Board of Supervisors to change an ordinance recently passed that allows up to four cell phone towers on one utility
pole – as close as six feet from your window.
This law neither safeguards us from the onslaught of 5G, which telecom is ready to place on each block in San Francisco, nor does it maintain the beauty of one of the most spectacular cities in the world.
On Dec. 16, there will be a hearing at City Hall, Room 250 at 1:30 p.m. to urge the Board of Supervisors to rescind Ordinance 190-19, which would put cell towers within six feet of schools, bedroom windows, with up to four carriers per pole everywhere.
San Francisco has many streets that still have utility lines and poles and these will be the target of the new 5G equipment. Not only will this be a health hazard and unsightly, the additional telecom equipment makes the prospect of undergrounding utility lines more
expensive and complicated, and therefore more unlikely.
The San Francisco Black Firefighter’s Association (all 11 districts) has signed a petition to demand the Board of Supervisors to rescind, research and replace Ordinance 190-19, as well as, Coalition of San Francisco Neighborhoods.
Here are two easy steps you can do to support our effort:
1. Sign and share our online petition!

2. We urgently need people to be at the Board of Supervisors meeting
on Dec. 16, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. to speak and show support for our cause. We will provide talking points.
Also, please mark your calendars for the following dates:

well as supervisors who will be cycling in and out of the room) how important it is to revise this ordinance.
Who: Anyone who can help organize their neighborhood
Where: City Hall, Room 250 (Board of Supervisors chamber)
When: 1:30 p.m.
Why: To make our voices heard, the research known and to urge the to
change the ordinance.
Please mark your calendars and RSVP to each event by emailing
Spread the word to your members/friends/neighbors and bring them to the hearing on the 16th. We need a big crowd! This is our chance to make a difference.
