The San Francisco Model Yacht Club (SFMYC) has scheduled model sailing for youth ages 10-14 on Sunday, June 23 and again on Sunday, July 21, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Spreckels Lake.
Members of SFMYC will be providing introductory sailing lessons.
Spreckels Lake is located in Golden Gate Park on the northern edge, near 36thAvenue.
Parents should plan on sharing the experience and learning with their children (no drop offs allowed). Each child will have 20-30 minutes of individual sailing time. This opportunity could be a great chance for children and their parents to see if they want to continue learning about model yachting with volunteer members of the SFMYC.
