New Middle Eastern Pastry Location Offers Delicious and Authentic Middle Eastern Baklava and Other Pastries as well as Small Middle Eastern Savory Pies, Coffee, and Other Beverages
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – May 6, 2019 – Bitchin’ Baklava, Chef Sausan’s newest online venture in Middle Eastern pastries and savory pies since 2012, opened its doors to the public on April 21, 2019, at 4031 Balboa St., San Francisco, as a soft opening. Committed to offering a celebration of various kinds of small Middle Eastern food items with a different slant on flavor and fillings on traditional recipes, Bitchin’ Baklava is the first of its kind.
“Along with offering traditional and authentic recipes, I want to bring fusion-type options to San Francisco with regard to the Middle Eastern pastry and pie recipes including exciting, unique, and flavorful selections.”
Bitchin’ Baklava focuses specifically to the recipes of Middle Eastern pastries and savory pies. All pastries and pies are hand crafted and made fresh from scratch. Each one is innovative, inventive, and original as concocted from the sweet and savory visions of Chef Sausan.
Currently Bitchin’ Baklava traditional pastries are sold in numerous coffee shops in the San Francisco Bay Area. Savory pies have also been introduced. With so much a positive response from the public and with online sales climbing, Bitchin’ Baklava’s umbrella restaurant, Al-Masri Egyptian Restaurant, also located at 4031 Balboa Street in San Francisco, has opened from 12noon to 3pm to accommodate the desirous demand of the public who want to venture in and take home or just enjoy the different flavors of baklava or savory pies. Bitchin’ Baklava also offers Arabic coffee, hibiscus tea, date juice, and much more.
“Our goal is to make eating baklava and savory pies fun and exciting. There is a different flavored baklava filling for each month, and currently there are eight classic flavors from which to choose along with other kinds of Middle Eastern type pastries and desserts. And our savory pies are growing with the newest filling being a mustard greens and blue cheese.”
