police-blotter-2Aggravated Assault with Force, Kidnapping: 500 Block of 38th Avenue, Dec. 31, 5:38 p.m. 

The victim and the suspect got in an altercation on a Muni bus and the suspect held a knife at his side and threatened the victim.

The Richmond Station Investigative Team identified the suspect of an incident that occurred on Dec. 26, 2018 and developed probable cause for his arrest. Officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest without incident. The suspect was booked at County Jail.

Traffic Collision: Jan. 2, Fulton Street and Arguello Boulevard, 12:44 p.m.

A citation was issued to a driver who failed to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left turn. The result was a traffic collision.

Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving without Headlights: Masonic and Euclid Avenues, Jan. 5, 10:58 p.m.

Officers observed a vehicle driving without headlights on and with significant collision damage, including a flat tire. Officers conducted a traffic stop, made contact with the driver and observed objective symptoms of alcohol impairment. 

Officers conducted a DUI investigation and determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was uncooperative and resisted arrest. The suspect was arrested and booked at County Jail.

Traffic Collision: Jan. 5, Cabrillo Street and Great Highway, 3:46 p.m.

A driver was driving while talking on a cell phone and caused a vehicular traffic accident. The driver was cited at the scene.

Loaded Firearm in Vehicle, Narcotics Violation: Geary Boulevard and Masonic Avenue, Jan. 27, 11 a.m.

A concerned and observant citizen saw a man take a firearm from his waistband and place it into the passenger compartment of a vehicle. The citizen gave the location of the vehicle and a detailed description of the suspect.

Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect, who was still inside the vehicle. He immediately surrendered without incident.

During a search, the officers located several items that are believed to be narcotics.

The suspect was transported and booked at County Jail.
