A fire that broke out in an Inner Sunset District home on Oct. 23 was extinguished by the SF Fire Department, but not before it killed a woman, sent a man to the hospital and left six people, including a child, without a residence.
The American Red Cross responded after the fire to provide services for those who lost their homes.
The blaze broke out at the residence at 1310 Funston Ave., at Irving Street, shortly after 3:30 a.m., according to the SF Fire Department.
Refuse removed from the charred house was moved to the street for pickup the next day.
The SF Coroner ’s Office identified the deceased woman as 28-year-old Kelsey O’Leary, a local resident. The male who was sent to the hospital for treatment is expected to survive.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
