The Richmond District Neighborhood Center’s (RDNC) 38th annual event to raise funds
for the programs and services it provides to more than 5,000 seniors, families and
neighbors every year will be held on Thursday, March 22, at the Golden Gate Club in the
Presidio.
The event, called the Black and White Gala 2018, is expected to raise about $65,000.
The honorary chair is SF Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer.
“The Richmond District Neighborhood Center is a critical community resource, providing
a safe place to go after school for 2,600 youth each day at eight public schools,”
Fewer said.
The program will include master illusionist Patrick Martin, and a live auction
will be held.
The RDNC provides food for more than 700 low-income seniors and working families
each week, employment and training for 50 youth each year, identity-based
programs for middle and high school youth and low-cost wellness classes for adults.
